Cronin, who hast been revisiting Glenorchy, returned to Mabel Bush yesterday. Miss Jenkins, Invercargill, has been the guest of Mr and Mrs W. S. Shearer. Mrs M. O’Leary has been spending a holiday in Queenstown. Mr and Mrs A. K. Simpson, Dunedin, are on holiday in Queenstown. Mrs H. Eout, who has "been the guest of her parents, Mr and Mrs I. Colonel Hargest. who is M.P. for Awarua has been appointed to the command of a brigade in the second echelon of the New Zealand force. Mrs W. Beach, of Trenthaui, is the guest of her mother, Mrs K. Philp, Athol Street. The Mayor of Invercargill, Mr J. E„ Hanan, enlisted for active service with the second New Zealand Expeditionary Force on Thursday last. Mr Hanan who is a barrister and solicitor and bolder of many important public positions will Leave for camp in three weeks. Mr Ronald Clayton is the guest of his parents, Mr and Mrs E, O. Clayton. Miss Hewson is spending a holiday as the guest of Mrs Clayton. Mrs P. Boyles and two daughters, Dunedin, are spending a holiday as the guests of Mr and Mrs G, D. Cochrane. Dr J. D. Salmond, Dunedin, is visiting his parents, Mr and Mrs J. Salmond. Sister Agnes Young, of Auckland, visited Queenstown last week accompanied by Mrs A. S. Cockerill, Milton. Miss M. A. Pollok, of Invercargill, has been spending a tramping holiday in the Head of Lake district. Mr and Mrs W. H. Berry, Miss R. Berry and Mr J. Berry are spending a holiday at “ Tutuila.” Mrs Aitchison, of Dunedin, is visiting Queenstown. Mrs E. A. Baxfer and Mrs J. Litoff, Musselburgh, have been spending a holiday in Queenstown. Miss T. N. Warnecke has returned to Invercargill after a tramping holiday at the Head of Lake. Dr and Mrs J. A. D. Iverach, Dunedin, are on holiday in Queenstown.
