Miss M. Battin is on holiday in Dunedin. Eev. T. M- and Mrs McDonald, Green Island, arc spending a holiday in Queenstown. Mr and Mrs W. L. Gray have returned to Wellington after a holiday spent in Queenstown. Mrs. C'alder and Miss E. Oalder, Cavershani, arc on holiday in Queenstown. Professor and Mrs Thomson, Dunedin, arc spending a holiday in Queenstown. 'Mrs A. Boyne and Miss B. Boyne have returned from a holiday spent in Dunedin. Mr and Mrs J. N. Armour, Invercargill, have been spending the holidays in their new residence on the Western Terrace. Lieut. W. Stewart and a number of Queenstown territorials went to Gore on Saturday for a week’s: training. Mr A. X. Macdonald and two children returned on Friday from a holiday spent at Lawrence and Crystal Beach. Miss I. Gilmore. Port Chalmers, is spending a holiday in Queenstown. Miss B. Williamson. Cromwell, is the guest of Mr and Mrs C. M. Inglis. Mrs H. Moore, Invercargill and Misses M. and E. Moore, are the guests of Mrs A. Anderson, Miss Winsome Sadlier, who has been the guest of her sister, Mrs J. L, Lindsay, returned to Winton. on Saturday. Mrs Irwin Hunter and her small grandson left for Dunedin on Saturday. Miss Molly Karitane nurse, is spending her holidays' with her parents', Mr and Mrs Alex. Mackenzie, Mt, Nicholas. Miss C. Matheson, of Dunedin, has gone to Walter Peak for some weeks. Mrs. W. Davidson and children are spending a holiday in Invercargill. Mr and Mrs L. W. Hemmings. _ Invercargill, accompanied by Misses Phyllis and Olive Hemmings .are the guests of Mr and Mrs H. E, Eastlake. Mrs Harold Knowles, Winton, has been the guest of Mr and Mrs J, Thomson for the holidays. Miss Mary O'Connell, Palmerston is the guest of her father, Mr J. O’Connell. Mr J. Cronin, who hast been revisiting Glenorchy, returned to Mabel Bush yesterday. Miss Jenkins, Invercargill, has been the guest of Mr and Mrs W. S. Shearer. Mrs M. O’Leary has been spending a holiday in Queenstown. Mr and Mrs A. K. Simpson, Dunedin, are on holiday in Queenstown. Mrs H. Eout, who has "been the guest of her parents, Mr and Mrs I. Jenkins, returned to Invercargill on Saturday. ! Mr and Mrs K. I. Kobertson, of Invercargill, have been spending the ho'idays in Queenstown. Mr and Mrs ,H. Perry and family have returned from a visit to Invercargill. The Misses Eobertson, of Auckland, are re-visiting Queenstown district. Colonel Hargest. who is M.P. for Awarua has been appointed to the command of a brigade in the second echelon of the New Zealand force. Mrs W. Beach, of Trenthaui, is the guest of her mother, Mrs K. Philp, Athol Street. The Mayor of Invercargill, Mr J. E„ Hanan, enlisted for active service with the second New Zealand Expeditionary Force on Thursday last. Mr Hanan who is a barrister and solicitor and bolder of many important public positions will Leave for camp in three weeks. Mr Ronald Clayton is the guest of his parents, Mr and Mrs E, O. Clayton. Miss Hewson is spending a holiday as the guest of Mrs Clayton. Mrs P. Boyles and two daughters, Dunedin, are spending a holiday as the guests of Mr and Mrs G, D. Cochrane. Dr J. D. Salmond, Dunedin, is visiting his parents, Mr and Mrs J. Salmond. Sister Agnes Young, of Auckland, visited Queenstown last week accompanied by Mrs A. S. Cockerill, Milton. Miss M. A. Pollok, of Invercargill, has been spending a tramping holiday in the Head of Lake district. Mr and Mrs W. H. Berry, Miss R. Berry and Mr J. Berry are spending a holiday at “ Tutuila.” Mrs Aitchison, of Dunedin, is visiting Queenstown. Mrs E. A. Baxfer and Mrs J. Litoff, Musselburgh, have been spending a holiday in Queenstown. Miss T. N. Warnecke has returned to Invercargill after a tramping holiday at the Head of Lake. Dr and Mrs J. A. D. Iverach, Dunedin, are on holiday in Queenstown.
