BASKETBALL.
ST. JOSEPHS 30 v. LOVER SHOTOVER 3. The game between the above teams was played at Shotover last "Wednesday and resulted in a win for St. Joseph’s by 30 to 3.
ROVERS A 27 v. ROVERS B 18. This match was played on the Park Tennis courts and was very patchy basketball, Rovers A playing with only two defenders. The game ended in favour of Hovel’s A by 27 to 18. Miss Strang refereed.
On Wednesday, 4th August, both Rovers A and B travel to Arrowtown.
St. Josephs and Shotover are both byes.
On Wednesday, 11th Aug, Rovers A play Shotover at Shotover. St. Josephs play Arrowtown at Arrowtown.
On Wednesday, 18th Aug., St. Joseph’s play Rovers B. Shot-over play Arrowtown. «jn Wednesday, 25th August, Arrowtown play Shotover, a match which had to be postponed to the end of the season owing to inclement weather.
These matches conclude the draw in the .Gardiner Cup competition.
