CLAY PIGEON SHOOTING.

THE APEX CUP. The annual competition for the Apex Cup took place on Wednesday last. The conditions are a 12-bird handicap. Messrs Geo. Cock burn and J. Edgar tied with 10 birds each. A further 5-bird match also failed to find the winner. In a first miss out Geo. Cockburn proved victorious and received the congratulations of hisj co-members. Other scores were: IT. Buekham 0, C. S. Elms and 13. R. H. Hamilton 8 each, H. Ross ;3. Mr Elms won this cup last year. The next shoot will be for the Arthur Bell Cup, also a 12-bird handicap. This will take place on 23rd October. October. Mr R. J. .Fuller lias given a trophy for a novelty shoot on the same afternoon. The handicap will be an unknown one.
