WAKATIPU BRANCH. The annual meeting of the Wakatipu branch of the N.Z. Farmers Union was held in Mrs Johnston ® Hall on Thursday evening last, when Mi- John Cockburn (president; presided over a large attendance of members. The minutes of the last annual ineeting were confirmed, and the balance sheet, presented by the secretary (Mr W. P. Saunders;. was adopted. AH Cockburn was reelected president, Air John Or ant (Lower Shotover), vice-president, and Air W. P. Saunders secretary .and treasurer. . Air Cockburn was appointed, with AH Jas, Ritchie, to represent the Upper Clutha and Wakatipu branches on the Otago Provincial Council. After transacting routine business members, together with members of the Women’s Division, spent a social hour, supper being provided by the ladies. 1 WOMEN’S DIVISION FARMERS’ UNION. The annual meeting of the Arrow branch of the Women’s Division of the N Z. Farmers’ Union was held in Airs Johnston’s Hall on Thursday eveninglast. There was a large attendance, Airs’ J. H. Douglas presiding. An apology for absence was received from Mrs J. E. Reid, the lion, secretary, who stated that, owing to ill-health, she wished to be relieved of the office. The following office-bearers wenelected: —President, Mrs J. H. Douglas; vice-president, Airs Feebly; secretary, Aliss Jessie Reid. Committee, Alesdames W. P. Saunders, A Brown, E. McLean, D. 11. Cockburn, L. Lee, W. S. Reid, J. E. Reid, and Aliss 0. Brown. It was decided that in future meetings be held on the third Saturday in each mouth at -2.30 p.m.
