PERSONAL NOTES.

Mrs A, H. Cooke left on a visit to Timaru during the week. The Misses Hamilton (2) of Hamilton House are away for a few days Mrs P. McCarthy returned from Invercargill during the week. Mr R. L. Wigley, managing director of the Mt. Cook Motor Co., Tiimaru, visited Queenstown during the week.

Miss Molly Hunter returned from Dunedin during the week, bringing with, her Miss Priest of Dunedin. Miss Even Curtis returned to Queenstown last evening from visits to Dunedin and Invercargill.

Mrs L. Preston, who had been visiting friends in Dunedin, returned last evening and went on to the home of her son-in-law, Mr Jas. Retd. Mr H. M. McKay, manager of the Waniaka -Motors Dtd., Dunedin, paid a short visit to Queenstown during the week.

Mr D. R. Hamilton has gone across to Wanak-a for the 'duck shooting. Mr Eyton left this morning for Mt Nicholas region on the same quest. Mrs W. W. Powell travelled on Wednesday to Dunedin, where she is the guest of her father, Mr H. Barraway. Mr and Mi’s John Dillon of Balfour and their two daughters, Misses Sheila and Helen, arrived here during the week on a short visit to Mrs Dillon’s sister, Mrs Tiros. Wilson, Brunswick House. They left again this morning by car.
