Stronach, Morris and 00., Ltd., report lor the week ending Wednesday, December, 1931, as follows: — Fat Cattle. —There was a small entry, 150 ibeing forward. At the commencement of the sale there was good competition and prices showed an advance of fully 3Us per head on the previous sale’s rates. At the close of the sale, however, competition was very slack and prices receded to last sale’s parity. Prime heavy bullocks £l2 10s to £l3 12a Gd, medium £9 10s to £IU, light £7 to £B, prime heifers £8 to £9 7s Ga, medium £G lus to £7, Lght £1 lus to £5 ss, prime cows £G lus to £8 lie Gd, mod urn £o 7s Gd to £G, light from £1 upwards. . Fat Sheep.—There was a small en- j try, 1200 being penned. The bulk of j the entry consisted of ewes and a few j pens of wethers. At the commencement of the sale prices for wetheae showed an advance of 2s to 9M per head on last sale’s rates. Ewes were also firmer, but towards the end j of the sale competition became slack and prices showed a drop. Prime heavy wethers 19s to 23s 6d, prime 16s to 18s, medium 14s to 16s, light ; 12s to 14s, prime ewes 12s to 15s, me- ; dium 9s to 11s, light from 6e upwards. Fat Lambs.—There was a large entry, 2700 being penned. These met with fail- competition and prices were easier by from Is 6d to 2e per head on last sale’s rates. Prime heavy lambs 17s to 18s 9d, prime 13s to 14s 6d, medium 12s to 12s 6d, light from 10s upwards. Pigs.—There was a small entry of • pigs and baconers were on a pair with ; late ruling rates, porkers showing no j improvement. Store pigs were easier j Oats.—There has been a rather bet- | ter inquiry for good heavy Cartons, I and these are bringing up to 2s 3d on trucks, country sidings. Wheat.—There is very little milling wheat offering and fowl wheat is in steady demand at up to 4s lid ex-store Dunedin.

Chaff.—Sufficient requirements are coming to hand to meet the local inquiry, and prime 'bright oaten sheaf is bringing up to £4 ex rail, Dunedin.
