Professor Strong, Dunedin, is staying at Paradise. Mi’ and Mrs J. H. Stephens, Dunedin, are here again for the. holidays.

Mi- and Mrs E. C. Smith of Gore arrived hero a week ago by car. Mr and Mrs J. C. MoGeorge were among holiday arrivals from Dunedin. Mrs Leslie Wilson, Dunedin, is staying with the Misses Go how. Mr and Mrs L. Jones are among Christchurch visitors at the Lakes. Mias Martha Edwards went to Dunedin on Tuesday. Mr and Mrs Jas. C. Scott and family are spending the holidays in Timaru. Mr Ernest Nichol of Bind lias been here over the holidays. Mr and Mrs T. Coull, senr, Dunedin, are holidaying in Queenstown. Mr and Mrs H. K. Wilkinson, Dunedin, are here 1 for the holidays. Mr David McDougall, ALP., for Mataura, spent the holidays in Queenstown. Dr. Holloway of Dunedin and members of his family are camping at Paradise. i His Hon. Mr John Melville, headmaster ot the Kaitangata school, and his family are .spending part of the vacation here. Abel, headmaster of the Musselburgh echool, and [his [family have a furnished house in Queenstown. Ingles' house in Hay St. Mr and Mrs W. Stewart of Invercargill and their family are in their Queenstown cottage on tho Western Terrace.

Dr. Carswell of Dunedin and his son have come up to the district for the fishing. They have been camping at the Kawarau.

Mr and Mrs H. Brown of Dunedin were the guests of the latter’s sister, Mrs W. Roycroft, over Christmas and New Year. Mrs H. Wright of Wairio is the guest of her parents, Mr -and Mrs J. H. Robins. Mr Wright was also here for Christmas. Mr and Mrs Macdonald and their young sou went to Invercargill .about the middle of last week. Mr and Mrs. Reg. Barnett of Timaru and their family are the. guests of Mr Barnett’s, sister, Mrs A. Harley Cooke, Eastern Terrace. Mr and Mrs J .F. Sutherland, Dunedin, .are spending the holidays in Queenstown as the guests of the former’s father, Mr D. I. Sutherland. The Yen. Archdeacon Eitchett and Mrs Eitchett and their sons arrived in Queenstown on Wednesday night. Mr F. Jones, who was returned as a Labour member for Dunedin South at the recent General Electron, arrived in Queenstown last night. Mr B. M. Roger, manager of the Kaiapoi Woollen Co., Invercargill, and his family have a furnished house in Adelaide street.

Air H. J. Robins of the Telegraph engineer’s office, AA ellington, and his wife and child, arrived in Queenstown a week ago, and are staying with AH Robins’ parents. AH and Airs Hugh Alackenzie, senr., Air H. Mackenzie, juiu’., and his .son, and Aliss Phyllis Alackenzie returned from Invercargill last night. AH and Airs Hegginbotham of AVellington went over last night to Aft. Nicholas Station, where they will be the guests of the LatterVs sister, Airs Alex. Mackenzie.

Father Ardagh at the Presbytery, Queenstown. Mr and Aire Jas. Ntobet and their son of Dunedin have been spending their holidays in Queenstown.
