A mmon Ra is being selected by Australian critics as a good Derby proposition. Burwood -his conqueror in the Champagne Stakes, looks like making a good Derby horse too. [Pink Coat was to have been tried *out at Tknaru on Saturday to see if his legs remained good. Nightmarch is to have a light season** at the stud. He may come back like Surveyor and add considerably to bis winning account. With the Government crying out for revenue it is a wonder Minister Perrelle can’t persuade his colleagues to run one or two big State consultations after the style of TattiersaU’s big # sweeps. , CaUamiart disappointed sadly in the Hurdles on Saturday. The two most favoured in'Poukawa handicap—Kozan .and Glonrossie duly arrived. On form, Eichborough looked the goods in 'the [Nursery and so it proved, Mr Kemball is having a great run with Lady Pam, which added' the Hawkes Bay Cup to her credit, on Saturday.
