COLLIE DOG CLUB.
A meeting of those interested in the J'oirma.tion of a. Collie Dog' Oluh An. tihei district was held in Arrow-town on Monday evening, 27 hj ult. There was a large a-fctcndlaace. Mr U. Jai’dine, who was voted to. the chair, explained the object of the meeting. On the motion of Mr J. AIcL-eain, seconded by Mr A. Geer, it was- doodled to- form a Club to be kiio-wjui as ‘-The Wakatipu Collie- Club.’ Election of ollice-bearere.—Patronls: Dr Anderson-and Mr 11. Mackenzie, si'.; Piesident; Mr 1). Jardline; vice-pneisii-dents: Messrs A. Gear and R. H. Baird; secretary: Mr Jas. McLean; assistant secretary: Mr D. R. Rowe. Committee: Messrs F. Johnson, C C. Johnston. C. Jolley; W. Heudersio-ni. Jas. Hansen, A. Morrisora, G. Scott, R. Scott, Mb R. Paterson, J. W, Reedl, and A\ . Milne. Mr R. M. Patcrseu wrote stating that lie was willing' to give anly portion of his property, if suitable lor trials. Mr Paterson was thanked for his otter. _ . The membership Ice was lixm at 10s. A recommeudation was made that the trials be iheikl at the end •u-f-Madch or carfv in April, and (be following were ‘appointed a sub-commit Ice to .inspect and -select suitable- grounds-: The President, and Messrs Me Leant Rowe, W. K. .P-ateir-sion, Lee, Geier and C. C. Johnston. K was decided that the pro;.amine consist -of three events, vi/..,' Long Haul, Heading, and Short Haul. Dr. Anderson said he would donate a special prize- for the best mustering team All present haunted in their names a-s members. A vote of thanks was passed lo Mrs John,ston. for use of room, and to Mr Jardine for presiding.
