LADIES. On Saturday a stroke match was again .organised for the purpose 1 of deciding the holder of the Beiper badge, the first holder (Miss M. To in kies.) defaulting on account of her absence in Dunedin. Mrs Curtis 10, and Miss K. Geisow 17, tied for the honour, and by agreement a toss of the coin decided the holder. This proved to be Mrs Curtis, who has. now been challenged by Mis® Geisow to play for the badge, next Saturday. The following is the draw for next Saturday’s stroke match: —Mrs Melville 20 v. Mrs Dagg 20; Mrs Anderson 20 v. Mrs Eyton 25; Miss MicCubbin 18 v. Mrs Mcßride 15; Miss Warren 10 v, Mrs Gilkison 7, Mrs L. Eobertson 15 v. Miss Wheatland 25; Mrs Dunn, a bye. A stroke competilion was played last .Saturday, the best card being Capt L .Eobertson’is, 99-24-77. Mr L. J. Lynch successfully defended the Beiper Badge against the challenger, Mr T. Dunn. On Saturday next a stioke match for a prize given by an anonymous donor for competition among the men will be played. This prize l was played for last year, but no .finality was reached. Mr J. J. McNeill and Mr Li J. Lynch tied for the prize, and they have both generously consented to its being put up agiain for cora'petitiion among Die members. The following is the draw:— Wi H. Nielson 36 v.
