QUEENSTOWN TENNIS CLUB.
The annual meeting ol the Queenstown Lawn Tennis Club was neld in the County Council Chambers on the U>th iiist. There was ia< good attendance of members, the chair being oecii| ie 1 by the Rev G. H. Gibb. The minute- of the bust annual meeting we • .cad and confirmed and the balance -heft adopted.
The following office-bearer* were elected for the ensuing season:
President, Rev. G»*o. Gibb, 8.A.; vice presidents: Rev. W. Uphill. Or Stew art. Messrs C. E. Graham, A. .1 Thompson and H. D. Were.
Commit tees:—General: Misses Geisow and Martin. Messrs J. P. Mcßride F. Curtis and G. B. Burns; match: Miss Geisow, Messrs A. J. Thompson, L. Curtis and C. E. Graham: Tea: Mrs Stewart and Miss Gudgeon. Hon. secretary and treasurer: Mr F. Stoop: auditor:' Mr A. J. Thompson. Several new members were elected. It was decidtl to open the season on Saturday, 26th inst. The secretary was instructed lo write to Mrs B. Anderson, thanking her for her courtesy towards the Club in allowing them to procure water from her premises during the past season. A recommendation was made to the Match Committee to draw up certain rules with regard to Ladder Matches and Club matches.
