LATE COMMERCIAL.
OOBE HORSE BAZAAB. Wright, Stephenson and Co., Ltd., report as follows We held our usual horse sale on Saturday before a fair attendance of farmers from the surrounding districts. The entry consisted of some 15 horses of all classes, mostly light horses, and bidding was very spirited, especially for the draughts and heavy springcarters. Out of the whole entry we managed to sell the majority at very satisfactory prices. We also sold a quantity of second hand harness and contractors equipments at full market rates. Australian buyers have again purchased a good number of horses through us this week, which we are shipping on Monday. We quote: Young mares up to £6O, young geldings up to £lo, aged draughts up to £26; harness horses up to £2O, hacks ur> to £l2. McKAT BEOS.' REPORT. Messrs McKay Bros, report the following sales for the week ending Saturday :- Poultry.—Hens, Is od to 2s 6d; roosters 2s 3d to 2s 4d; ducks. 2s 6d; pullets, 2s 2d ; chicks, 8d to lOd. Pigs.—Suckers, small 3s 6d to 5s 6d ; good, 9s; weaners, to lis 6d. We sold privately during the week 53 g. od weaners at 16s 6d each.
General Produce.—Potatoes, slow of sale; :able, £7 10s to £8 10s; seed, £5 to £7 10s; onions, Ns 6d cwt; oats, 9s Od ; wheat, 14s; barlov meal, IKOlbf, 12s.
Fruit. —Banania, rip-, 20s; oranges, Island, 12s to 13s 6d ; bouth Australian, 12s (id; Mildura, lis Od; mandarins, 14s fid; lemons, lis fid; pines, 10s fid; apples, 9s fid j local, 2s 3d to ss.
