COMMERCIAL.
Stronach, Moms and Co., Ltd., report for week ending, 13th September as follows : Fat Sheep.—24lo were penned, mostly good quality. There was good competition and prices were about the same as at last sale. Best wethers, 23s Od to 245, medium 17s 6d to 19s Od, light 15s Od to 16s 6d, best ewes 18s to 20s, extra to 21s, medium to good 16s to 17s 6d, light 14s Od to 15s Od.
Fat Lambs —There was only 19 yarded and sold at from 19s to 24s 9d.
lat Cattle.—l9s were yarded, consisting of medium quality. Prices were fully up to last week's rates. Best Bullocks, .£ll 10s to .£l2 10s, extra to £l6 os, medium to good £9 10s to £lO 10s, inferior £6 to £B, best cows and heifers £8 to £lolos, extra to £lO 15s, Od medium £6 10s to £7 10s, inferior £5 10s to £6 10s.
Pigs.—There was a yarding of 135, and prices for suckers and slips showed an advance on last weeks values. Quotations : Suckers 6s Od to 123, slips 13s Od to 15s Od, stores 16s to 22s Od, porkers 28s to 325, light baconers 35s to 425, heavy do 45s to 555, choppers to 60s.
Rabbitskins.—We again offered a very large catalogue when competition was keener and prime winters showed a slight advance on last sale. Quotations : Selected winter does 40d to good 32Jd to 38d, prime winter bucks 2ld to 23d, early winters to 18d, incomings to 18d, medium to good 16d to 19d, autumns to 17 hi, outgoing ltd to 16d, racks 9£d to winter blacks 30d to 33d, autumn blacks 14d to 21£ d, fawns 12d to 15 Jd, summer blacks to 15d, shocks 3d, horse hair to 19d.
Sheepskins.—At our sale to-day we offered a large catalogue. Best i-bred to 9£d, medium 7£d to Bd, best fine x-bred 7sd to B*d, coarse x-bred 6Jd to 7£d, best pelts 4d to 5 id, medium 3d to 4id, inferior Id to 2d, best merino 7id to Bd, medium to good 4Jd to 6d; best lambskins 7d to B}d. Hides.—We hold our fortnightly sale on Thursday, 15th inst. Tallow and Fat.—Quotations are much the same as at last week's report. Oats.—Quotations : Prime milling Is 10jd to Is lid; good to best feed Is 9d to Is 10£ d, infeiior to medium Is 7d to Is per bushel (sacks extra.) Wheat. —There is nothing doing and owing to the further drop in flour in Australia we are afraid prices will come further back here. Prime milling 3s 6d to 3s Bd, medium to good 3s 4d to 3s sd, fowl wheat 3s Id to 3s 3d, medium to good 2s 9d to 3s, broken and damaged 2s to 2s Od per bushel (sacks extra.) Chaff.—Large supplies are coming forward and prices show little change. Prime oaten sheaf is in demand but medium and discolored are hard of sale. Quotations : Prime oaten sheaf .£3 51s to .£3 17s, medium to good <£3 to .£3 7s 6d, discoloured and inferior ,£2 5s to £2 15s, straw chaff £1 15s to £2 5s per ton (sacks extra.) Potatoes.—Prime up-to-dates £7 12s 6d to £7 71s, extra to £8 Os 6d, medium £7 to £7 10s, inferior and damaged ,£6. Straw.—Wheaten 22s to 24s Od, oaten 35s per ton (pressed.) Turnips —lss to 17s 6d per ton loose.
