A machine has been invented which counts 500,000 post-cards in ten hours, wrapping and tying the same in packets of twenty-five each. They are neatly wrapped in paper and the string securely tied, all by machinery. The average woman's idea of charity is to knit bedroom slippers for the Hottentots. Faint heart ne'er wins fair lady ; but for the matter of that neither does a faint bank account.
