County Council hereby reaolvea as ol ows : '• That f»r the porpose of providing the 'ntereat and other charges on a loan < f £4OOO hi hori-ed to be raised by tbe Lake County Council under the above mentioned Acta, for ihe construction of a bridge (authorised to be constructed by a Warrant dated tbe second day of January, 1908, issued under the hand of Ilia Excellency the Governor under section 118 of "The Public Works Act, i 905," which Warrant baa been duly notified and also gazetted on p -ge 272 of the New Zealand Gazette, 1908) known aa the Shotover Bridge Lake County, at a point situated about 36 chains above the site of the existing bridge across the said Shotover River and about one mile above the junction uf the said river with tbe Kawaran River to connect the road leading from Queenatewn to Arrowtown, via Lake Hayes; aa the site of tbe said bridge is delineated on the plan marked R. 6233, deposited in the office of the Chief Engineer of Roads, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon shown in red color, and the approaches to such bridge and the cost of raising the loan and the first year's interest on such loan during the construction of the ssid bridge and approaches thereto. (£2OO being set apart in each year towards paying off such loan) the said Lake County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of three-sixteenths of a penny in the £ upon the rateable value of all rateaole property of the whole of Lake County, the boundaries of which County are aa follows:—'Bounded towards tbe North by tbe County of Westland from the mouth of the Awaran River to Mount Alba; towards the East by the County of Vincent from Mount Alba to Lome Peak, thence along the summit of the Hector Mountains southerly to the centre of the Mataura River, by tbe centre of tbe MaUon River to ita source near Eyre Peak, thence by a line to Eyre Peak, thence by a right line to Jane P.ak, thence to Hummock Peak, thence by the anmmit ot the watershed by Mount Lookup and the Thorneon Range to Round Peak*, thence by right lines over Moffat Peak tu Mount Kglinton, thence along the summit of the Earl Mountaioa to a point in line with tbe Castle Mountain and Clouds; Pass, theocs by a right line over ton fettle to Cloudy Pass, and thenjoby thefesfye the mouth of the oin',' and that snch be as\annual recurring rate rrency of auch loan, and vile half-yearly on tbe first dsy of Fehrolry and the first day of August in sap every year during the currency of tuffian, being a period of twenty six years, or until the loan is fully paid off."
