Late Commercial.

GORE HORSE BAZAAR. Wright Stephenson and Co., Ltd., report having held their usual weekly sale of horses in the Bazaar on Saturday. About 30 horses nf all descriptions were forward, and all good useful sorts readily found nsw owners at very satisfactory prices. There is an exceptionally good demand at present for good sound active draughs. In fact, there are m»re buyers than sellers, and it is a difficult matter to get horses to fill up requirements. Auy good useful draughts coming forward are therefore sure to meet with good sales. There is practically little or no demand for light harness horses and hacks, and it is a difficult matter at the present time to make sales of these. Following are soma of the sales effected privately and at auction during the week :—1 4 year old gelding £SO, Ido do £4B 10s, 1 5 year old mare £44 10*, 1 6 year old mare £3B, 1 3 year old filly £4O, 1 do do £36 10s, 1 3 year wit £34, 1 agbri geldiug £3O, 1 do do £34 10s, 1 do do £'22, 1 harness gelding £lB, hacks from £6 up to £lO.

for the most part to local requirements and the supply for teed orders are coining in more freely ; milling is practically neglected. Prime milling 2s 3sd to 2s 4d, good to best feed 2s 2d to 2s 3d, medium 2s to 2a Id, seed lines 2« 5d to 2i 9d. Wheat—No change to report, and few sales passing in, milling quality is confined to small lots ; choice condition fowl feed has a fair sale at late valnes. Prime milling 3a 5d to 3s 6d, Tuscan to 3s 7d, medium to good 3s 3d to 3s 4Jd, whole fowl 3s Id to 3s 2d, others 2s 8d to 3s Potatoes—Prime Derwents and other household kinds are saleable at late rates ; best seeds are strongly enquired for, medium table sorts are not in strong demand. Seed lines £l2 to £l3, best table sorts £ll to £l2, medium £9 to £lO 10s, others £7 to £8 10s. Chaff—£4 to £4 ss, medium to good is not really dealt with at £3lss, while inferior has no attention at £3 to £3 ss. Straw—Good oaten 47s 6d to 50s, wheaten 32s 6d. Turnips—The demand has not been so keen; most of those arriving are selling 17s 6d per ton loose.
