They cume with the best press •redentials, and as their entertainment is unique and of rsal merit, there should be a bumper house. Mr Will Jameson, touring manager for the above company, arrived in Queenstown on Saturday to make arraugements for two night's performances commencing on ThursMaroh Ist. The company opened at Ashburton ou the 16th January, playing at Timaru and Oamaru, and all the small towns ou the route.jand are now coming through to Queenstown. Mr Jameson reports packed houses everywhere, in fact, ou the branch lines they have had to refuse money. Of course this can be easily accounted for when the main dra« is the present topic of the day, 'the Transvaal War pictures,' showing the colonials under fire, navals firing Maxim guns, a.tillery iu action, and the charge of the sth Lancers ; also an armored train at Mafeking. lhese are the only animated war pictures at present in New Zealand. The Gordon Highlanders on the marcb brings forth rounds of applause. Then comes the Spanish bull right, tne longest record ever taken for the kincmatograph, lasting on the scene nearly half an hour, and showing the fight in all its stages, from reviewing the bulls in the enclosures to the death stroke of the matador. All the latest kinematograph successes are introduced, showing the grtalest performers on the Loudon stage going through their different turns. The company possess a first class tenor vocalist in Mr Montgomery, who will render' The Absent-Minded Beggar,' and the very latest song in the patriotic line ' A little patch of red.' The other items include, ' Empire of the Earth,' with Zealandia's colors ; 'Soldiers of the Queen,' with kiuematograph film. Mr Harry Hall supplies the comic element.
