WAKATIPU HOSPITAL

A meeting of contributing trustees in connection with the above was held at the institution, Frankton, on Saturday, Jan. 6th. Present—Captain Wing (chairman), Captain Hicks and Messrs St Omer and Geisow. . The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed. Inward correspondence read and received. Outward correspondence read and confirmed. Resolved, on the motion of Mr Geisow and Capt. Hicks that Joseph O'Leary be paid the amount of £9 4s 4d for work done in and around the institution and that the same be placed to his credit as against his board and medical attendance. Resolved, on the motion of Mr Geisow and St Omer that the Chairman be authorised to procure and erect a new Shacklock range in place of the range now in use in the kitchen of the institution. Resolved, on the motion of Mr St Omer and Captain Hicks that the resolution passed on the 4th day of November, 1899, be given effect to in so far as the verandah of the fever ward is concerned, the same to cost not more than £2O. Number of patients in hospital on 30th Nov. 5 ; admitted during Decemlier, 16 ; discharged, 12 ; died, 1 ; remaining on Dec. 31, 8. Accounts and salaries amounting to £56 10s were passed for payment. A vote of thanks to the chair concluded the meeting.
