MARKET REPORTMessrs Moritzon and Hopkin, Dunedin, report (wholesale) as follows for the week ending Tuesday last; all quotations being subject to market fluctuations : We would ask farmers when sending samples always to put a price on them, as buyers do not feel inclined to make offers. Wheat.—Prime samples are readily placed at quotations, but other sorts have less enquiry than of late. We quote Best velvet, 2s 5d to 2s 61 ; best Tuscan, 2s 5d to 2s 7d ; red chaff, 2s 3d ; fowls wheat, Is lOd to 2s. Oats. The market remains firm at quotations. We have sold prime milling at Is 5d to Is and bright short feed, Is 4d to Is 4Jd, inferior Is Id to Is 3d. Barley.—Feed sorts are quoted at ls9d to 2s ; milling, 2s to 2s Gd; malting, 2s 9d to 3s 3d. Ryecorn.—2s to 2s 6d. Flour:—We quote £6 10s. Oatmeal in 25's, £S. Pearl barley, £l2. Bran, £3. Pollard, £3 10s. Nelson hops are quoted at bd to lid f.o.b. Linseed wanted, £lO, with good enquiry. Chaff. —Prime quality, well cut oaten sheaf, £2 5s to £2 7s 6d ; and medium, £2 to £2 2s 6d. Ryegrass.—The demand is a little better. Buyers' ideas however arc from say Is 3d to Is 9d for ordinary farmers' lines, and up to 2s for clean lots. Cocksfoot, 3|d to for farmers lots, and 4id to 5d for machined. Pressed straw, £1 ss. Clover hay, £3 os. Nitrate of soda, £ls. Potatoes Derwents, 22s Gd to 25s ; medium from 20s per ton. Rabbitskins. We offered a large catalogue this week; competition was very keen. Suckers and runners, 3d to Gd ; summer, Gd to 10d ; Autumns, lOd to 14d ; winters, 15d to 16.jd per lb.; selected ISJ per lb. Sales every Monday. Sheepskins. —We quote : Dry crossbreds Is 9d to 4s 6d ; extra, 5s to 6s ; dry merinos, 2s 3d to ss; pelts, 6d to Is 9d. We sell every Tuesday. Hides, 3d to 4Jd, according to weight and condition. We have a special enquiry and can guarantee top market prices. Tallow.—Rough fat, 9s to lis 6d ; rendered lis to 14s. Horsehair, Is 2d to Is 4d. Crown Sheep Dip.—The best in the market, price 4s Gd per gallon. Binder Twine. —We have a large stock aud cau supply same at lowest quotations. Butter Boxes.—We can supply 561b butter boxes with vegetable parchment lining at 1 Sd per dozen. DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP. Mr Hopkin retires from the firm of Moritzson and Hopkin on the lirst of October next. The old business w ill be carried on as heretofore in all its various branches in the same Buildings and with the same staff by Mr A. Moritzson, the founder of the firm, under the style of Moritzson and Hopkin. Mr Hopkin, on his retirement from the firm, will, of course, cease to be liable for any future debts «;r engagements of the business, which will be wholly borne by Mr Moritzson.
