FIRST ANNUAL SOCIAL GATHERING of the HIGHLAND SOCIETY OP SOUTHLAND will take place in Hanan's Hall, Invercargill, on the evening of FRIDAY, 12th NOVEMBER, in the form of a Concert, Social and Ball. Gaelic Addresses will be delivered by the representatives of kindred societies throughout New Zealand, and Messrs D. A. Came* roo (Nokomai), John Macrae M. A. (Otautau), Hagh Cameron (Mataura), Allan Carmichael (Otautan), John M'Donald (Palmerstoo), Captain Macdonald (Bluff), and other leading Highlanders in Otago and Southland. There will also be a long and varied programme of Gaelic and Scottish vocal, instrumental and other items by the best talent; the Scottish vocalists being Mrs Blue, Miss M'Chesney; Messrs T. C.
