QUEENSTOWN, DECEMBER 7th. 1891

Mr Geisow appeared for applicant on behalf of Mr Turton, who was unable to attend. Mr Finn—l submit, your Worship, that Mr Geisow has no right to appear for Mr Evans, I object to him because he has no legal status in this Court except as a mining agent. The Warden—How, Mr Finn ? Mr Finn—l mean that Mr Turton cannot delegate his powers to Mr Geiso'.v, and 1 would have been quite willing to undertake the work. If M Geisow was appearing for his client it would b all right, hut he is not. e The Warden—You mean that Mr Turton cannot delegate his powers to Mr Geisow. Mr Finn—Yes.

The Warden—l don't know about that; suppose Mr Finn, you were engaged on behalf of the other side, it might prove awkward. Mr Finn—l said I would do all his applications, and I submit Mr Geisow has no right to appear for Mr Turton.
