ORIGINAL CORRESPONDENCE.

(to the editor of lake wakatip mail).

Sir, —In your report of the meeting of the Lake Jockey Club last week, you state that the programme of the ensuing race meeting was ordered to be advertised in the Wakatip Mail.

You, I believe, are a member of the Club, and as you are on the spot, you can perhaps ascertain from the President or Secretary by whose authority the programme appears in the Lake County Press. By doing so, and by replying at the foot of this letter, you will oblige, Another Member. [At the annual meeting in question, an order was made that the Lake Jockey Club programme should be inserted in this journal only; if an order has been given for its publication in the columns of our contemporary, we suppose it has been given by the President or Secretary—but, of course, without any authority from the Club.—Ed. L. U r ..l/.]
