The armistice between Turkey and Russia is terminable at three days. It is rumored toat the terms of their alliance are that Russia assumes the protectorate over the principalities. It is denied that the Russians are advancing on Stamboul or GallipolL The situation is less threatening and Germany is expected to exercise a moderating influence over Russia. 3,000 Christians have been massacred in Thessa'y. LATEST. 455 p.m. The cricket match, Otago v. Canterbury, commenced at the oval here this morning; they have had splendid weather, and at 4 p»m. seven of the Canterbury wichets were down for 156 runs, of which Moore made 75. Sir George Grey and party have been enthusiastically received at Greymouth.
