The first portion of tbe following intelligence ap* peared on Tuesday as an Extra.

The Russian occupation of Constantinople (as reported in the Evening Stars Special of Friday) is untrue, but it is said that a secret treaty between Russia and Turkey allows the former to occupy the fortifications at Chekoedge and that they have already entered, and the Turks have evacuated them.

There is great excitement in Constantinople. The House of Commons passed the Six Million War Vote by 20"; to 9G. The monster Conservative demonstration ended in a riot, and the mob stoned Gladstone's town residence and the Daily Xetcs office.

Ministers were enthusiastically received on opening Parliament. The Turks have evacuated Varna.

Six vessels of the British fleet have gone to Constantinople to protect the British residents and their property, and England invites other powers to do the same. This is not meant as a menace to Russia but in apprehension of trouble amongst the population. The Pope died on the 7th, and all the Cardinals have been summoned to Koine.

The Porte lias ordered all foreign officers to leave its service and the Turks have evacuated all their fortresses. There are rumors afloat that Russia and Turkey have entered into an alliance. In Expirus and Thessaly the insurgents have declared a union with Greece. The conclave of Cardinals has met, 70 being present. An Italian is certain to be elected Pope. LATEST. London, 11th inst. In the House of Lords to-day Beaconsfield stated that a difficulty had arisen regarding the entry of the British fleet into the Dardanelles, but the intention of the Government remained unchanged. Gortschkoff telegraphs thus "If a British fleet gees to Constantinople we send our army there."
