Ross, Aldred, Pfrrdie, Sj-eucv,: (hou. Minutes of previous meeting were read unjl confirmed. . • t:i The following accounts were brought, up { and passed for payment: —J'. Braithwaite, magiizines, «fcc., £l2 12s-sd; W. j printing and advertising, £5 12s; J. L, Evans and Co., 4s fid. A long discussion took place as to tbe ad- j visability of procuring an endowment,, sud 'ultimately it was Proposed by Mr Macklin, seconded bv Mr Boss, and carried—" That Messrs Spencc, 1 lines, Tully, and the mover, be apjiointed a sub-comiuittee to tike action with a view to obtain an endowment for the Library " Proposed by Mr Tullv, seconded by Mr Innes and carried—"That a hearty vote of thanks l>e accorded to the deputation ./ho lati'ly successfully waited upon the Superintendent with regard to securing a site for t ie Library building." It was proposed by Mr Macklin, seconded by Mr M'Ardell, and carried—"That >lr 11. J. Finn be elected a member.ot the Commit- . tee, pice IW. J. Smith resigned." The meeting closed with a vote of thanks to the chair.
