WAKATIP DISTRICT HOSPITAL.

The usual monthly meeting of the Committee was held in the Hospital on Saturday last, when there were present —Mr Beetham, President, in the chair, Messrs Ross, Miller, Perelle, F. Boyes, Goodsir, Betts aud M'Hattie.

Minutes of previous meeting were then read and confirmed.

Tenders were opened from Messrs Robertson <fe Co., for firewood, and from F. M'Bride, for milk, butter and eggs, both of which (being the only tenders) were accepted. Accounts were then passed as follows for the month of April:—Paterson, meat and bread, £4 16s 3d ; F. M'Bride, milk, »ka, £3 2s; Whittiugham Bros., rations, £6 18s 9d ; Robertson & Co., fuel and light, £54 78; Malaghan, medicine aud medical comforts, £5 2s; Malaghan, fuel, light and stores, 12s; Dr Douglas, £2O 16s 8d ; H. King, £lO ; Mr and Mrs Hussey, £8 Gs 8d; Incidental, £1 13s 4d. Total £lls 14s Bd. For the month of Mav: —Dr Douglas, £2O 16s 8d ; H. King, £10; Mr and Mrs Hussey, £8 6s 8d; Paterson, rations, £5 16s6d; F. M'Bride, milk, <&c., £2 12s 6d; Whittingham Bros., rations, £0 15s 3d; Whittingham Bros., fuel and light, £7 10s 6d; Whittingham Bros., stores and furniture, 13s; Malaghan, stores and furniture, £1 4s ;, M alaghan, medicine and medical comforts £4 16s; Incidental, £1 13s 4d. Total, £73 9s.

Proposed by Mr Miller, and seconded by Mr M'Hattie—"That the Secretary lie instructed to write to the Auditors requesting them to audit the accounts without delay." Proposed by Mr Miller, and seconded by Mr Ross—" That the Secretary be instructed to forward to Mr M'Gregor, surveyor, Mr Macdonald's specifications, and authorise him to carry out the water works for the Hospital with all speed." The Secretary was instructed to send an account to Mr Thomas Kirkpatrick, according to the Rules (32 days, at the rate of £2 10s per week). A vote of thanks to the Chair closed the proceedings.
