WAKATIP DISTRICT HOSPITAL.

A special meeting (two monthly meetings having lapsed) of the Board of Management of above Institution was held in the Courthouse, on Saturday last. After considerable delay, the following members constituted a meeting—Messrs Eichardt (chair), Betts, Goodsir, Malaghan, Ross, and Worthington. The minutes of previous meeting were read and conlirmed. The following accounts were presented and passed for payment:—Salaries—£78 Gs Bd. Rations —G. Woodrow, £2 lGs 8d; F. M'Bride, £7 Gs ; W. Paterson, £l3 17s -id ; Whittingham Bros., £l4 lis sd. Stores— M. J. Malaghan, £4 5s 2d; Whittingham Bros., £7 7s. Medicines and Medical Comforts —Malaghan, £8 9s Gd ; Kempthorne and Co., £7 5s id. Bedding—De Beer and Walde, £ I 18s 3d. Printing—W. Warren, £3 ss. Incidental —£4 7s 8 L The Resident Surgeon's report was read and received. It contained nothing worthy of note, fui ther than a recommendation that the Hospital kitchen be supplied with a new stove or cooking range. It was decided that the purchase of a stove or range be left in the hands of Messrs Boyes and Malaghan. Tenders for supplies for the ensuing six months were then opened and dealt with. Subjoined are the successful tenders :—Bread and Meat—W. Paterson, Arrow ; Fuel and Light and Rations—Whittingham Bros.) Medicines, Medical Comforts, and Stores— M. J. Malaghan. It was agreed that no tender be accepted for bedding and clothing ; and that fresh tenders be invited for milk, butter, and firewood.
