The Bishop, in 1862, received from the 3ociety for Propagating the Gospel iu Foreign Parts, the promise of a grant of £2OO per annum, for one year and a half, towards the maintenance of a Missionary CI rgyman, but he has hitherto been unable to meet with a clergyman wiling to undertake the duty for a stipend, limited to so short a period, and altogether inadequate to the necessary expanses of the mission.
