The navy estimates for the year show a net reduction of £1,058,273 on the vote of last year. The great reduction is in the right place—on vote 10, for naval stores. A great number of "emancipation" meetings—meetings to express sympathy with the Federals —have been held during the past month both in London and in the provinces. The speakers have not been men of any political weiget; but we are bound to say that the meetings were crowded and eutkusiastio on nearly all occasions.
