It was imfortunato that the Jioldingr. of t.lie North Beach Gala on Boxing Day. should Jiaro had to bo postponed on account of ■wet weather, considering tile amount of steady work the committoo had done in arranging it. However, theso efforts should have full fruition - to-morrow, provided the •weather is fine. Tho fud programme, as originally planned, will bo presented. Among the attractions will be a mock court, for which elaborate preparations have been made, and which it is stated will not inter-
fere -with tho public in any way. A big .sensation should-.be.,provided by a drop by -nriman from an'aeroplane into tho sea, and , rescue by combined surf clubs. The hunt ' tj.hr “tho mysterious man” will continue, \ provided his identity is not ‘discovered prei piously.' There will also be various competiM lions and running events, and allurements R- ! ,«t the stalls and side-shows. Judging by ■.. the programme, the publio will have a very " full day'at North. Beach on Saturday.
