General Caviglia announces that he is, making official entry into Fiume, tlius ending the D’Annunzio episode. D’Annunzio was not wounded. Thirtyregular soldiei-3 were killed and one nundred wounded in the recent fighting.

General Caviglia entered Fiume, It is reported that four hundred wore killed and several thousand wounded, including D'Annunzio, who was slightlywounded in tho head by a shell. Tho Italian Government is anxious that D’Annunzio should bo captured unhurt, and offers a reward to the soldier doing this.

. LONDON, December 27. The Royalists are dosing,,, in on Fiumo. Some reports from Rome state that the regulars already occupy the town. ■ There has been considerable bloodshed, mostly around the barricades of barbed wire and fortified houses, where ,the insurgents mad© determined stands, while the Royalists, hampered by Premier Giolitti’s request to avoid unnecessary bloodshed, were compelled to storm machine-guns at the point of the bayonet. Had < they been allowed to use artillery they would have taken the town, in a few hours, for they had’ overwhelming numbers.
