WELLINGTON, December 29.

Vincent S. Stanislaus, barman, was charged at the Magistrate’s Court today with using the new Commercial Hotel as a common gaming house. Accused pleaded guilty. The police stated that books and pay res found indicated that Stanislaus v s not in the bookmaking business in large way. Ho was not of the class that they wanted an extreme example made. He was fined £25 or two months’ imprisonment.
