THE CONAN DOYLE LECTURES.

Last night and on Tuesday evening Sir Arthur Conan Doyle lectured to crowded, enthusiastic audiences in Auckland, and this evening ho will leave for Wellington, where he will give twc, lectures before coming on here for his engagements on December 15 and 16. As in Australia, the osychio photographs which Sir Arthur screened at his second lecture in Auckland caused a great sensation. Theso photographs some forty in number, were taken by the lecturer himself under conditions that made any deception impossible. He used his own camera, put in his own plates and developed them himself. They are. in. Sir Arthur's own words, a “ series of modern miracles,” and “the final and positive) proof.” They will he shown at the second lecture in the Theatre Royal. At the first lecture Sir Arthur will completely cover the whole subject of spiritualism m an address entitled, “ Death and tho Hereafter : The Hew Revelation.” Both arc quite complete, but tho second is the sequel to the first. The box plans will be opened at Begg's to-morrow morning at 9 o'clock.
