BURNSIDE. [Per Press Association.] December 8. There were good yaru.ngs in all departments of stock at Burnside fco-day. P'ff 3 ln articular were forward in large numbers, md a substantia! reduction in price has to be recorded; in fact, it was the cheapest pig ale held at Burnside for some time past. Lambs were in keen demand, and pricea •howed an advance of fully 6s per head, vhilo sheep, on the other hand, were back ibout 4s per 'head as compared with last veek's rates. The fat cattle sale opened with more animation than that of the previous week, and prime beef sold at about sos per 10 Fat Cattle—A medium yarding of fair quality, numbering 186 head. Competition was good, and prices were a shade better iian thoso which ruled at last week* sale. Prime bullocks realised from £2l ». * 2 /*j medium £l6 to £2O, light and unfinished kinds £l4 upwards. Very few heifers were forward. Prime heifers realised up to 10s, medium from £ll to £l3. _ , Store Cattle— A large yarding was offered, which included ft number of bullocks in good forward condition. There wna a mr demand, and prices were about on a par with last week’s rates. i . Sheep.— A good yarding, numbering 2011, of medium quality. The entry compnsed mostly sborn sheep. Competition was good, and a satisfactory sale resulted. Extra prime heavy-weight ehorn wethers realised up w 48s 6d, prime 38s to 425, medium 82e to -ws, light and unfinished kinds 28s upwards. Shorn ewes made from 25s to 80s a head; Primo woolly wethers made up to 50a m diutn 40s to his, light and aged from 3ts upwards. Prime woolly ewes made from 28a Lambs. —A total of 68 vrere ofTwed for sale. The quality, on t«ie whole, very good. Competition was very keen, and I buoyant sale'resulted.
