The matter whs discussed at th© monthly stopwork meeting"of the Seamen’s Union, when the communications regarding the incident were received from the Canterbury Steam Ship Company. It was deoided unanimously that two of the men ooncerned should: be severely admonished by tlio union and that a third man, who jumped ashore just before the vessel Bailed,, should be surammied to appear before the oontral executive and explain Ids action, which had caused eight hours’ delay.
