AIR MAILS TO BLENHEIM.

GROUND SURVEY TO BE MADE. Captain L. M. Isitt and Captain Euan Dickson will leave Christchurch next week by motor-car on a ground survey of the route from Christohurch to Blenheim for the purpose of selecting suitable areas for emergency landing grounds and also permanent landing grounds for the aerial' mail service whihh is about to be established, The route from Christchurch will be along the coast, .and the lartd on the seaward side of StOftyhursfc will have to be inspected carefully. Owing to the lack of arterial roads the survey will have to be made on foot or on horseback ahd St is hoped that the cooperation of staiionholders will be forthcoming in preparing the route. Captain Dickson and Captain Isitt wilt be back in Christchurch some time before Chri&tmae. It is possible that they will return by way of the West Coast.
