A fine lot of goods has been made, and there will be the usual fair, attractions. Tho Waimairi School, Bligh’s Road, Papa, nui, held its initial concert for raising money to obtain prizes for the school children in St Paul’s Schoolroom on Thursday night. The attendance was large. In tho unavoidable absence of thb chairman (Mr L, Hart), Mr Fawcett presided. Most of ths items were given by the children. They included songs, drill by tho boys, recitations by John M’Cullough, W. Harris and Percy Frankleks, a song and chorus by ex-pupils. Highland fling by Misses Sneddon and More . gap. pionoferto solos by Mrs Cox, cornet solos by Mr Mimro, comic songs by Mr Dimshea and conjuring by La Reneo Bros, Th* accompanists warn Mia* Simpson and Mra C.
