ASSAULT ALLEGED.

VICTIM IN CRITICAL CONDITION. .VAUDEVILLE ARTIST ARRESTED. [Pee Press Association.] / J AUCKLAND, November 24. An artist appearing on Fuller's programme at the Opera Houso this week, named Le Brun, was arrested at midday, charged with assault. The arrest followed the admission to a- private hospital of Mrs Ermey, who with her husband is also on the programme, the pair appearing as " Yank and Jean " Mrs Ermey was suffering .from severe internal injuries, causing ■ hemorrhage, and severe facial injuries. Her condition is very critical. Her husband (" Yank") is also receiving treatment for facial injuries and abrasions. ..Bail for Le Brun was not given by the police. Le Brun will appear in the Court to-morrow.
