LONDON, October 7. According to the “Daily Telegraph’s” Pariß correspondent, there is no truth in the statement that direct negotiations have been commenced _ between France and Germany, though it is true there have been Conservations at Brussels to settle the problem of reparations. There is no idea of Prance.abandoning tho Genera Conference, though M. Anllerand is likely to require more formal guarantees from Britain a.nd other Allies than he thus far has received, before ho goes to Geneva. PARIS, October 7.
It is officially stated that no direct negotiations are proceeding: between France and Germany regarding reparations, which is -a matter for all the Allies.
