[From Our Correspondent.] AUCKLAND, October 8. At the Baptist Union the treasurer reported that £2214 had been raised for home missions, and a credit was shown of £l3O. The cost of living, as it affects ministers, was grappled with. An offer was made of £SOOO from Air J A. Pannett. of Christchurch, contingent on another £SOOO being raised through the Dominion. Four offers of £SOO eaoh were at onoo made. These gifts would lift annuities to £IOO a ?ear. and the lower salaries to a comortable level.
