The Papanui School Coromittoe's monthly meeting was held on Tuesday night; present Mr Smith (chairman), Mrs Wood, and Messrs Sandford, Wood WW, Hadley, Ca-wley, Hawko and Mehrten. The head master's report showed the roll number of pupils to bo 348 and average attendance '295; also that Messrs Bar«Uoji and B. Mansion had been granted a month's leave of absence, owing to illness. CCho chairman stated that he had arranged for Mr H. Foaton to give his lecture on " Furthest North."
