WEDDING

GILLIES—MEYRICK

The wedding took place at the residence of the bride's parents, Brenchlay Farm, on June 2, if Miss Ivy Mona Meyrick and Mr Donald Gillies. The bride, who was given away by her father, was attired in a nigger-brown costume, with hat to match, and was attended by her sister, Miss Iris Meyrick, as bridesmaid. Mr E. Mannix officiated as best man.

TILLER—M'LEAN. Amherley was the scene of a very pretty wedding on Thursday, Juno 3, when a large number of friends and relatives assembled at the Presbyterian Church to witness the marriage of Miss Alice M'Lean. fourth daughter of Mr ! and Mrs G. A. M'Lean, " Mountain i Meadows," Amberley, and Mr George I Harold Tiller, onlv son of Mr and Mrs jG. H. Tiller, Wellington. The church ! was prettily decorated with chrvsanthe- | mums and autumn foliage. Tho Rev j Thomas McDonald performed the cerej mony. The bride, who was escorted to j the altar by Pipe-Major Erskine, was j charmingly gowned in a white georg. ette and crepe do chine frock with pearl trimmings, the long court train being lined with pale pink georgette. From a wreath of orange blossoms fell a dainty'hand-embroidered tullo veil. and she carried a bouquet of white and pink chrysanthemums. Tho brido was given away by her father, and the bridesmaids were Miss Myrtle M'Lean and Miss Dorothy Tiller, sisters of the bride and bridegroom respectively. They wore very dainty frocks of cream silk net with touches of pink and blue. Both wore black picture hats and carried shower bouquets of autumn-tinted flowers. Mr 0. A. M'Lean, jun. (brother of the bride), was best man, and Mr W. L. MacCallum wa3 groomsman. After the ceremony about 100 guests were entertained at "Mountain Meadows," tho residence of tho bride's parents. Subsequently Mr and Mrs Tiller left by motor, the brido wearing a fawn gabardine costume, and a. lemon beaver hat with scarf to match.

GARLICK-JTOGLUND. The wedding was solemnised on June 10, at the Barbadoes Strcol Cathedral, of Elenoni Blanche, sixth daughter of Mr and Mrs J. Hoglund, Springfield, and Henry, second son of Mr and Mrs P. Garlick, Oxford. Father Fogarty perfornied the ceremony. The bride, who was given away by" her sister, Mrs Milliken, was charmingly gowned in a heavily-embroidered cream georgette tunic frock over a foundation of charmeuse satin.. A very pleasing effect was produced by quaint designs worked in silk and gold beads and by a deep sills fringe. _ A becoming hand-em broiderod veil, with the conventional trail of orange blossoms, was worn in mob-cap style. A shower bouquet of wh'te chrysanthemums was carried. The brido was attended by her sister, Miss Nina, Hoglund, as bridesmaid, who wore a frock of apricot shade, finished with old gold and blue, a hat of apricot and black, relieved with blue, and carried a bouquet of old gold and bronze chrysanthemums with autumn foliage. The bridegroom was attended by his brother, Mr Len Garlick, as best man. After the ceremony the party adjourned to the Rendezvous, where the breakfast was served The happy couple left subsequently on their honeymoon, the brido wearing a pretty fawn costume worn over a dainty blouse of pink crepe de chine completed with a transparent bat of soft pink and fawn georgette, finished in gold, and a set of black fox furs, the gift of the bridegroom.
