NEWS AND NOTES. In connection 'with tho Oxford W.C.T.U a cradle roll meeting was held in the Coronation Hall on Wednesday afternoon, when a number of mothers and babies wore present. Mrs Gaiii3fopd, Cradle Roll .Superintendent, presided, and introduced Nurse Maekay, of the Plunket Society, who gave an interesting and instructive address on the care of babies. COLEMAN^EMMETT. Tile Shirley Methodist Church was crowded on the occasion of the marriage of Miss Nellie Emmett, second daughter of Mr A. W. Emmett, of Quinn's Road. Shirley, to Mr Harry Coleman, elder son of Mr and Mrs L. Coleman, of Lad brook 8. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a becoming frock of "white colienno silk and georgette- Her veil of white tulle was held in plac3 by a wreath of orange blossoms, and she carried a bouquet of white chrysanthemums. Tho bridesmaid was Mias Gertrude Emmett, and the two flower-girls were Aliases Ruth and Beryl Emmett. The best man was Air T. Coleman, brother of tho bridegroom. and tho Rev H. Spencer was the officiating minister. The church was beautifully decorated for tho occasion by the girl friends of the bride, and the service ivas a choral one. After tho ceremony the guests, numbering over 100, adjourned to the schoolroom, where the wedding breakfast was held.
