THE PRINCE OF WALES.
WILL ARRIVE IN CHRISTCHURCH TO-NIGHT. THE ROYAL PROGRAMME. His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales will reach Christcliurch at 7.30 this evening from the West Coast, travelling from Arthur's Pass to Christcliurch by the Royal train. He will be met at the station by the Mayor and City Councillors, tlie officer commanding the military district and the chairman of tho Lytjtelton Harbour Board. He will then drive by way of Manchester Street, High Street, Cathedral Square, and Worcester Street, to tho Christchurch Club, where be and his Chief of Staff (Admiral Halsey) will take up their residence while in Christcburch. The Royal oar will pass under both arches, and will enter Worcester street from the- north side of Cathedral Square. The Prince's official programme, subject possibly to slight additions, is as follows : THURSDAY. 7.30 p.m.—Arrives at Christchurch railway station, and drives to Cbristcburcb Club. FRIDAY. 10 a.m.—Visits Chalmers Military Hospital and afterwards the Military Sanatorium at Cashmere. 2 p.m.—Attends open-air civic reception at Latimer Square, and presentation of addresses. 3 p.m.—Attends military review at Hagley Park. 9 p.m.—Attends citizens' ball, at King Edward Barracks. SATURDAY. 12.30 p.m.—Attends Canterbury Jockey Club's Royal race meeting, at Riccarton. SUNDAY. 11 a.m.—Attends service at Anglican Cathedral. MONDAY. 8.30 a.m.^—Departs for the south by special train.
