CRUSADE FOR EXPULSION FROM CONSTANTINOPLE. By Tolegraph—Prana Association —Copyright Router's Telegrams. LONDON, Alaroh 2. Twelve archbishops who are members of the Holy Synod at Constantinople telegraphed •to the Archbishop of Canterbury appoaliug to him for assistance in securing tho complete _ expulsion of the Turks from Constantinople. - The Archbishop of Canterbury replied that; ho and other English bishops and leaders had already appealed to the British Government to tnat end. Ho assured tho Synod that tho Church of England would continue to do everything possible.
The Bishop of New York also telegraphed to the Archbishop or Canterbury, on behalf of a hundred American bishops, thanking him for his leadership in the crusade against the retention of the Turks in Constantinople. The archbishop, in reply, expressed tho hope that America would bear her part in tho protection of oppressed Eastern nationalities.
HELP FOR REFUGEES. LONDON, March 2. The Constantinople correspondent of the Associated Press states that the evacuation of Novorassusk on tho Black Sea is hourly expected. British subjects have been ordered to leave. Allied officials hero are preparing to handle refugees, of whom twenty thousand are expected. It ia proposed to divert five thousand to Egypt and three thousand to Cyprus. The situation is aggravated by the prevalence of typhus at Novorossusk. (Received March 9, 12.20 a.m.) PARIS, March 3. Franco is dispatching strong reinforcements of colonial troops to Cilicia, where the position is critical, owing to the strength of Mustapha Kcmal’s forces.
