ONION GROWERS' ASSOCIATION.

■ £ meeting of tho ereoutivo of the Canterbury Onion Growers 1 Association was hold in the Y.M.C.A. rooms on Saturday evening. There were present—Messrs W. J. Waller (chairman), W hi. Goodwin, A. B. L. Sunxn, W. Downey, J. Boloski, A. Case, J. Blackburn, R. Longstaff, W. R. Curtis and J. Voss (secretary). . , Correspondence from firms in tho JSortn and South Islands, in regard to the market-. He offered facilities for such a system, to be carried out locally if required. , A number of questions were asked and answered, those present obtaining some ra u■ftblo information. Mr Dongton, who also offered to act «s the associations agent, was thanked for his attendance. It was decided to obtain an official list of growers who were willing to to lll . <I,G members, and a small minimum subscription was fixed to meet current expenses. It was agreed to suggest that potato growers might arrange to have a conference in Christchurch on some suitable date .to discuss marketing and prices, the association being jvillinor to couvsne such a’ meeting if it is generally desired.
