• * ROSS BREAKS WORLD’S RECORD. . (Pbb Press Association.) AUCKLAND') March 6. Norman Ross swam 600 metros this afternoon in 6min 41 2-ssec, establishing a new world’6 record. The old record, which was held by J. G. Hatfield (England) was 6min 66500. The Invitation Race of IOOydB resulted as follows: —Norman Ross 1, J. F.nwright 2. These were the only starters. Time—6o-ec, which equals the New Zealand record established by Patterson (Wellington) at the recent championship mooting. .
