A message from Bombay states that the Derajat column moved up the river towards La dll a without encountering organised opposition. A number of chief tribesmen visited tho camp, asking what steps were recessary to avoid a punitive expedition. They were told that the stipulated number of rifles must immediately be forthcoming. Their request for a further ten days to collect rifles was refused.
