Tho fifth annual general meeting of members of the Farmers' Co-operative Superannuation and Provident Fund was held in tho association's meeting room on Friday evening, when Mr A. W. Jamieson, in the unavoidable absence of Mr J. A- Pannett (the chairman), presided over a large attendance. The statement of accounts presented a very satisfactory conditions of affairs, the assets of tho fund now amounting to £13,317, whilst apart from an unpaid sickness claim of £2O, there are no liabilities other than to members for their own funds. The membership has increased from 247 at the fund's inception in 1915 to 440 as at December 31, 1919. A total of £750 has been paid in Heath claims and £4332 in sick claims since tho inauguration of the fund. The three retiring trusteesMessrs A. W. Jamieson, H. Veitch and li. T. Whittingham— were re-elected, and Messi's Newburgh, Best and Co. were reappointed auditors. Votes of thanks to tho chairman, directors, honorary treasurer (Mr E. W- Relph), and honorary secretary (Mr H. T. Whittingham) concluded a highly successful meeting.
