A LIGHTNING STRIKE.

('Per Press Association.) TAIHAPE, January 17. Every employee at the Taihapo freezing works struck work this morning. Complaints have been accumulating, but the main issue was wages. The chairman of the company had a long interview with the men last night, and conceded tho 37s 6d asked for- He left fully understanding that a satisfactory basis had been readied. This morning not even a fireman was found cn duty, and the men would not even move the carcases into tho freezer.
